R’wood Marks the Battle of Bklyn.

Colonial times returned to Ridgewood’s Onderdonk House last Saturday, Aug. 23, as the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society participated in “Battle of Brooklyn Week,” a commemoration of the American Revolution’s largest battle. The society unveiled an exhbit on Gen. Nathanial Woodhull, who led the Queens and Suffolk County Militias of the Continental Army and died during the battle. The Onderdonk House also reinstalled its Daughters of the American Revolution and conducted tours of a typical colonial kitchen. Members of the society and guests are pictured above.
