The body of a woman found in a wooded area of Beechhurst last month has been identified as a Bay Terrace woman reported missing in June, the NYPD said.
Caroline Maquinghin, 41, was reported missing earlier this summer after she was last outside her home on Bell Boulevard, near 23rd Avenue, June 11. Her decomposed body was found by a Parks Department employee Aug. 5 in an area near 14th Road and Utopia Parkway, about a mile from where she lived.
The NYPD said the cause of death had not yet been determined but police said they had ruled out any criminality leading to Maquinghin’s death.
