Car enthusiasts checked out vintage rides from a bygone area during the 13th annual Maspeth Classic Car Show on Sunday, Sept. 21, at Maspeth Federal Savings bank’s main branch. The event, which included music from Twice as Good and the Solshyne Band, paid homage to Fire Lt. Kenneth J. Phelan, who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Proceeds benefitted Maspeth Town Hall and its many community functions. The car show was presented by Joe Wroblewski of Frank’s Deli in Maspeth, with Maspeth Federal Savings serving as a corporate event sponsor.
