Following a summer hiatus, local youths and volunteers teamed up again to remove trash and debris near the Long Island Expressway along 57th Avenue between 74th and 80th streets in Elmhurst last Saturday morning, Sept. 6. The cleanup as organized by the Juniper Juniors, an offshoot of the Juniper Park Civic Association (JPCA), and the Maspeth High School Green Club. The participants, including Len Santoro of the JPCA, are pictured above.
