Assistant Das Receive Awards

Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown announced that Assistant District Attorneys Elizabeth A. Speck and Kanella Georgopoulos have been named the recipients of the Queens District Attorney’s Office’s twenty-third annual Hal Miller Weinstein Memorial Award. “Each year this award is presented to a member of our first-year class who most exemplifies and embodies Hal Weinstein’s exceptional spirit, his boundless enthusiasm and deep commitment to public service,” Brown said. The award was created in 1992 in memory of Assistant District Attorney Hal Miller Weinstein whose life was tragically cut short in April of that year as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
