ELMHURST — A woman was fatally shot and two others suffered gunshot wounds shortly after police were called to deal with a disorderly crowd inside Club Hive early Halloween morning, the NYPD said.
The Police Department said it was withholding the identity of the 20-year-old woman killed after taking bullets to the neck and leg until her family was notified.
The NYPD said it responded to reports of a rowdy crowd inside the 79-21 Queens Blvd. venue at 4:05 a.m., and found a group engaged in a verbal dispute.
As the crowd dispersed out into the street, police said an unknown suspect began shooting near Queens Boulevard and Barnwell Avenue.
Three were struck — the 20-year-old who succumbed to her injuries, a 21-year-old woman shot in the butt and leg and a 31-year-old man whose head was grazed by a bullet, according to the NYPD.
The trio were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where the 20-year-old was pronounced dead and the other two victims were listed in stable condition, officers said.
The NYPD said no arrests have been made and its investigation is ongoing.
