From discount vendors to food carts, karate demonstrations, games and more, there was something for everyone during the Wonderful Woodhaven Street Festival along Jamaica Avenue on Sunday, Oct. 19. Sponsored by the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation (GWDC) and the Woodhaven Business Improvement District (WBID), the festivities took place along the avenue between 80th Street and Woodhaven Boulevard, under the elevated J/Z line. The Times Newsweekly was among the event’s co-sponsors. Among those pictured at right are City Council Member Eric Ulrich; Rep.
