Jamaica- Police were searching for a suspect who punched and sprayed an unknown substance in the face of a rider at a Jamaica subway station last month.
Authorities said the incident occurred Sept. 14 at a platform of the J train line at Jamaica Center subway station located at Parsons Avenue and Archer Avenue.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, the police said.
Police described the suspect as a black man in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket and blue jeans.
The NYPD asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
