High schoolers looking to apply to the nation’s top military academies gathered at Forest Hills High School last Saturday, Oct. 17, for an informational forum hosted by Rep. Grace Meng. The congresswoman addressed students, who later met with representatives of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point; the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado; the U.S. Merchant Marines Academy in Kings Point; and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. Eligible high school seniors living in Meng’s district must apply with her office and be nominated for acceptance to any of the academies. Students have until Nov. 5 to apply with any of the military academies. For more information, contact Meng’s Forest Hills office at 1-718-445-7861.
