Off-duty cop arrested, charged in choking incident

QUEENS VILLAGE — A police officer was arrested for allegedly choking his wife in their Queens Village home, the NYPD said.

The off-duty cop, according to authorities, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment.

The incident occurred Sunday about 6 p.m., police said. The victim sustained minor injuries, the NYPD said.
