A 60-year-old man was killed by a city bus Wednesday night as he was crossing a Flushing street, the police said.
According to the NYPD, the fatal accident occurred about 10:35 p.m. when the victim was struck by a Q13 bus at the corner of Northern Boulevard and Union Street.
When police and emergency personal arrived at the scene, they saw the victim lying on the roadway with severe trauma to the body.
The pedestrian was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was later pronounced dead, a police spokesman said.
The police did not release the identity of the victim pending family notification.
The NYPD said the investigation was ongoing.
