Robbers Take Trip to Oz. Pk. Agency

Linked To Howard Beach Caper

Gunslingers who allegedly tied up workers and swiped cash from a Howard Beach travel agency this month are believed to be responsible for a similar holdup in Ozone Park last Wednesday morning, Nov. 12, police reported.

Still wanted for robbing a Howard Beach travel agency earlier this month, the perpetrators pictured above are believed to be responsible for another travel agency heist, this time in Ozone Park, last Wednesday, Nov. 12, police reported.

Law enforcement sources said the two suspects struck the Crown Travel Agency at 103-49 118th St., off Liberty Avenue, at 11 a.m. that day.

According to police, the incident bore a striking resemblance to the Nov. 7 holdup at the Liberty Travel office at 156-40 Cross Bay Blvd.

In that caper, authorities said, the perpetrators bound six employees with zip-ties and demanded to know the location of the safe. They reportedly managed to open the safe and steal an undisclosed amount of money, as well as the victims’ property.

Regarding last Wednesday’s heist, law enforcement agents stated, the crooks-one of whom brandished a gun-walked into the location and restrained two female employees with zip-ties.

Thereafter, police said, they demanded that the employees open the safe, but after an attempt, the workers were unable to comply with the demand.

Reportedly, the crooks then stole an undetermined amount of cash left inside a tin case as well as jewelry and the victims’ jewelry and cash.

Seconds later, police noted, the perpetrators fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call about the incident. There were no reported injuries.

Both incidents remain under investigation by the 106th Precinct Detective Squad, police said.
