Fastrack Program

Hits E, F, M & R

The MTA’s Fastrack maintenance program will result in service disruptions on the E, F, M and R lines in Queens and Manhattan tonight and tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 6-7, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During this period, E trains will run local service between Jamaica Center and Roosevelt Avenue. F trains will operate in two sections: between 179th Street-Jamaica and Roosevelt Avenue and between 21st Street- Queensbridge and Stillwell Avenue.

M train service between Essex Street and 71st-Continental Avenues will end early tonight, Thursday. M trains will continue to operate between Metropolitan Avenue and Essex Street. Service will also end early on the R line Thursday between 36th Street in Brooklyn and 71st-Continental Avenues.

Free shuttle buses will replace subway service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queensboro Plaza, making all local stops. For alternate service between Manhattan or Queens, use the 7 or N trains.

Additionally, Fastrack repairs will also end service early on the M line between Myrtle Avenue- Broadway and 71st-Continental Avenues during evening hours on Monday, Nov. 10, through Thursday, Nov. 13. Transfer to the J train at Myrtle Avenue- Broadway for service to and from Manhattan.

More Disruptions Affect The 7 Train

There will be no 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10.; and early morning on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Thursday, Nov. 13, from 1:30 to 5 a.m. Trains will operate normally between Main Street and Queensboro Plaza.

During the weekend disruption, Q trains will run to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N or Q trains at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E, F or R trains at Roosevelt Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will replace 7 trains in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These trains will also stop at Queens Plaza for ADAaccessible connections to the E and R lines.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

– Queens Plaza-on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue;

– Court Square-23rd Street- on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Additionally, Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stations on weekdays, Wednesday through Friday, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 21.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train.

A Line Disruption Hits Ozone Park

A train service will be suspended between Lefferts Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, until 4:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10. A trains will operate between 207th Street in Manhattan and either Howard Beach-JFK Airport or Far Rockaway.

During this period, Manhattanbound A trains will also skip the Rockaway Boulevard and 88th Street stations.

Free shuttle buses will replace A train service in Ozone Park. Riders can transfer between the A train and the shuttle bus at 80th Street.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– 80th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 80th Street;

– 88th Street (Far Rockawaybound only)-on Liberty Avenue at 88th Street;

– Rockaway Boulevard (Far Rockaway-bound only)-on 93rd Street at Liberty Avenue (to Lefferts Boulevard) or on Liberty Avenue at 93rd Street (to 80th Street);

– 104th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 104th Street;

– 111th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 111th Street; and

– Lefferts Boulevard-on Lefferts Boulevard at Liberty Avenue.

Station Renewal Affects A Train

The Manhattan-bound platforms at the 88th Street and 104th Street A train stations in Ozone Park remain closed through January 2015 for repairs related to the MTA’s station renewal program.

For service to these stations, take the A train to 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train. For service from these stations, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard or 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.

Some L Trains Make Last Stop In R’wood

Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues will be the last stop for alternate L trains from Manhattan on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 21.

For Canarsie-bound service, transfer between L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue the trip. It was noted that trains will operate every 12 minutes between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway.

Late Night Closure

On G Line In Bklyn.

G train service will be suspended between Metropolitan Avenue and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues late nights on Monday, Nov. 10, through Friday, Nov. 14, from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During this period, G trains will operate in two sections: between Court Square and Metropolitan Avenue (every 20 minutes) and between Bedford- Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue (every 15 minutes).

Free shuttle buses will replace G trains in the closed segment. Transfer between the buses and train at either Metropolitan Avenue (on Union Avenue at Metropolitan Avenue) or Bedford- Nostrand Avenues (on Lafayette Avenue at Bedford Avenue).
