Fastrack Program Hits M Line Tonight
The MTA’s Fastrack maintenance program will also end service early on the M line between Myrtle Avenue- Broadway and 71st-Continental Avenues during evening hours on Thursday, Nov. 13. Transfer to the J train at Myrtle Avenue- Broadway for service to and from Manhattan.
J & M Trains Won’t
Cross Br. Weekend
J train service will be suspended between Hewes Street and Essex Street-and M train service will be closed between Myrtle Avenue-Broadway and Essex Street-this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15-16, from 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.
During this period, J trains will operate in two sections: between Jamaica Avenue and Hewes Street and between Essex Street and Chambers Street. The latter section will operate service every 15 minutes.
M trains will operate as a shuttle between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue- Broadway. For service to Flushing Avenue, Lorimer Street and Hewes Street, transfer to the J train at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.
Free shuttle buses will replace train service between Hewes Street and Essex Street. For alternate service to and from Manhattan, transfer from the J train to the A, C or L trains at Broadway Junction or, from the M train, to the L train at Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues.
The shuttle buses will stop as follows:
– Hewes Street-on Broadway at Hooper Street;
– Marcy Avenue-on Broadway at Marcy Avenue; and
– Essex Street-on Delancey Street at Essex Street.
More Disruptions Affect The 7 Train
There will be no 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, until 4:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17. Trains will operate normally between Main Street and Queensboro Plaza.
During the disruption, Q trains will run to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N or Q trains at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E, F or R trains at Roosevelt Avenue.
Free shuttle buses will replace 7 trains in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These trains will also stop at Queens Plaza for ADAaccessible connections to the E and R lines.
The shuttle buses will stop as follows:
– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;
– Queens Plaza-on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue;
– Court Square-23rd Street- on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza);
– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and
– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.
Additionally, Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stations on weekdays, Wednesday through Friday, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 21.
For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train.
Some L Trains Make Last Stop In R’wood
Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues will be the last stop for alternate L trains from Manhattan on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 21.
For Canarsie-bound service, transfer between L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue the trip. It was noted that trains will operate every 12 minutes between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway.
Late Night Closure
On G Line In Bklyn.
G train service will be suspended between Metropolitan Avenue and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues on Friday, Nov. 14, from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During this period, G trains will operate in two sections: between Court Square and Metropolitan Avenue (every 20 minutes) and between Bedford- Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue (every 15 minutes).
Free shuttle buses will replace G trains in the closed segment. Transfer between the buses and train at either Metropolitan Avenue (on Union Avenue at Metropolitan Avenue) or Bedford- Nostrand Avenues (on Lafayette Avenue at Bedford Avenue).
Switch Of Lines For F Trains To Jamaica
Jamaica-bound F trains will run on the M line between 47th- 50th Streets and Roosevelt Avenue this weekend, from 9:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17.
As a result, Jamaica-bound F train service will not be available at the 57th Street, Lexington Avenue-63rd Street, Roosevelt Island and 21st Street- Queensbridge stations.
For service to these stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train.
Station Renewal Affects A Train
The Manhattan-bound platforms at the 88th Street and 104th Street A train stations in Ozone Park remain closed through January 2015 for repairs related to the MTA’s station renewal program.
For service to these stations, take the A train to 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train. For service from these stations, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard or 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.
Additionally, Manhattanbound A trains will skip the 111th Street station this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17. For service to this station, take the Q112 bus along Liberty Avenue (days and evenings only) or the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to an Ozone Parkbound A train.
For service from this station, take the A train to Lefferts Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.
