Swipes Cash During Middle Village Stickup

A gun-toting crook helped himself to a Middle Village gas station’s cash during an armed robbery last Tuesday night, Nov. 25, police reported.

Law enforcement sources said the heist took place at 9 p.m. inside the Citgo gas station located at 61-04 Fresh Pond Rd., at Eliot Avenue.

Reportedly, the suspect- described as a black male standing 5’10”-tall, weighing 180 lbs. and wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a black shirt or sweatshirt-entered the office and confronted a station employee.

Authorities said the crook displayed a black firearm and demanded cash. After taking $450 in currency, police noted, the bandit fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to the scene. There were no injuries reported.

Various police units canvassed the surrounding area for the suspect and evidence, but despite those efforts, no immediate arrests were made.

The case was presented to the 104th Precinct Detective Squad for further investigation, police said.
