Flushing’s robust Chinese and Korean communities will be celebrating Lunar New Year in the 19th annual Flushing Lunar New Year Parade this Saturday.
This is the Year of the Sheep, an animal known for being gentle and calm. The parade will start at 11 a.m. on Union Street and 37th Avenue and end on Main Street. The parade typically concludes with a celebration at the Queens Crossing Mall at 136-17 39th Ave. in Flushing. Admission is free.
The Flushing Chinese Business Association is the 2015 Lunar New Year Parade Committee.
