An unidentified man was discovered dead in a vacant Richmond Hill house early Wednesday morning after a fire broke out in the home, authorities said.
The blaze started at about 1:15 a.m. in the attic of the three-story residence on Lefferts Boulevard, near 95th Avenue, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters were able to control the flames by 1:50 a.m., and EMS soon found an unconscious man inside the home, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
