Man beaten with bat in Flushing Meadows Corona Park

CORONA—Police were looking for a suspect who beat a man with a baseball bat in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

On Aug. 2 at about 8 p.m., the suspect hit the man in the head and the right knee with a baseball bat and stole his phone on the corner of 111th Street and 49th Avenue in Corona, according to a police spokesman.

The investigation was ongoing, the spokesman said.
