One Jackson Heights restaurant owner is looking to serve emojis on a bun.
Jarvis Fernandez — who is also the owner of Just Made 4 U, a restaurant focused on providing healthy menu items such as salads, wraps and smoothies — is taking the same concept of healthy fast food to his new venture, Emoji Burger.
The restaurant will be located at 80-07 37th Ave., just a few storefronts away from his first restaurant. According to Fernandez, his meat purveyor will be Pat LaFrieda, a New Jersey-based meat supplier that supplies artisanal burger patties and also works with Shake Shack, Blue Smoke and Union Square Cafe.
“You know what you’re getting [at Emoji Burger],” Fernandez said. “Usually when you go to a regular burger place you get all frozen meat. You don’t know what you’re getting. It’s all leftovers.”
Emoji Burger will serve eight varieties of burgers including six beef burgers, one turkey burger and a veggie burger. Fernandez said all of the burgers will be prepared with a combination of toppings that he thinks is best and will be named after specific emojis.
For example, the Yummy burger 
is a beef burger topped with cheddar cheese, avocado, black beans, tomatoes, lettuce and chipotle aioli.
The Hands Up burger 
is the turkey option with feta cheese, raw onion, avocado, tomatoes, mixed greens and cilantro aioli.
Prices will vary from $5 to $7 and patrons will also have an option of five varieties of fries such as sweet potato fries, and fries with shredded chicken and a “special sauce” ranging from $3 to $5.
Customers will get their shake fix with flavors like the classic vanilla and chocolate shake and specialty flavors like passion fruit and blackberry.
The planned opening date is Dec. 1, but Fernandez may open Emoji Burger a week early if everything goes according to plan.
