Rosedale man dies after being shot in the torso: NYPD

A man died after he and another man were shot in Rosedale Saturday night, the NYPD said.

At about 8:53 p.m., police responded to a call of two men shot at 240-15 144th Ave., according to the police.

Upon arrival, officers found Peyton Manwaring, 19, of Rosedale, with a gunshot wound to the torso and an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his leg and torso, officials said.

EMS responded and took both men to Jamaica Hospital, where Manwaring was pronounced dead, police said.

The 18-year-old man remained in critical condition, they said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
