A mixed-use condo project at 11-51 47th Ave. is currently underway.

The  52,728-square-foot space will house 56 condos of which 50 percent will be two-bedroom units and the rest will be split between one- and three-bedroom units. The property will include 1,280 square feet of commercial space and 22 parking spaces, according to plans filed with the Department of Buildings (DOB).

The condo is being developed by two Long Island City-based companies: Charney Construction & Development and Ascent Development. Chris Fogarty of Fogarty Finger is the principal designer and according to the company’s website, the design “evokes the industrial past of the neighborhood.”

“The exposed concrete columns and beams create a primary grid, while the metal slab covers and wood infill panels along the façade create warm, tactile, material layers which contrast the concrete,” the description continued.

Amenities will include a kids room, a gym, a lounge and a terrace that allows views of Manhattan.
