A 73-year-old man who was struck by a car at a South Ozone Park intersection last month has died of his injuries, police reported.
According to police, Ramnauth Mahabir of 115th Street in South Ozone Park was struck by a SUV at the corner of 115th Street and Rockaway Boulevard at 9:45 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2015.
Reportedly, Mahabir suffered head injuries after being hit by a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 58-year-old male traveling northbound on 115th Street as it turned left onto Rockaway Boulevard.
Officers from the 106th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Mahabir was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he died on Dec. 30.
No arrests have been made, and an inquiry by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing, police said.
