An elderly man was hospitalized in stable condition after being hit by a car in Ridgewood on Friday night, according to police.
Authorities said the accident happened at about 6:51 p.m. at the corner of 71st Avenue and Cypress Hills Street.
Police said the 75-year-old man walked into traffic between two parked cars when he was struck by a vehicle that remained at the scene following the accident.
Officers from the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to the incident. The victim was rushed to Wyckoff Hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.
No charges have been filed, and an investigation is ongoing.
