The “World’s Borough” will reach out to the people of quake-stricken Ecuador in a special way this Sunday.

State Senator Jose Peralta announced the “Queens for Ecuador” benefit concert, which will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at La Boom New York, located at 56-15 Northern Blvd. in Woodside.

Proceeds from the benefit concert will go to UNICEF through the Hispanic Federation. Hundreds of thousands of people of Ecuadorian descent reside in Queens.

The “Queens for Ecuador” concert was organized by numerous community leaders, organizations and elected officials including Peralta, Congressman Joe Crowley, Congresswoman Grace Meng, state Senators Michael Gianaris and Toby Ann Stavisky, Assemblymen Michael DenDekker and Francisco Moya, Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras-Copeland and Councilmen Daniel Dromm and Jimmy Van Bramer.

Performers at the concert include Fulanito, Acsmed with Roberto Vasquez, Danza Marinera Nortena del Peru, La Chica de la Cumbia, Danza Estampa Negra, Oscar Garcia with Martha Lucia and Grupo Macao.

There is a suggested donation of $10 per guest.
