Man sought in Astoria shooting incident

ASTORIA – Police from the 115th Precinct in Astoria are searching for a man who was involved in an April 16 shooting incident near 37th Avenue and 74th Street.

Witnesses described a confrontation on that Saturday night between an unknown number of Hispanic men and a group of four Asian men. As the dispute intensified, police say one of the Asian men pulled out a gun and fired a shot towards the Hispanic group. All parties fled in unknown directions and no injuries were reported, according to the NYPD.

The individual is described by police as an Asian man with a long pony tail, last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black jeans and an orange and blue jogging jacket.
