The Play4Autism Foundation and Triple Threat Comedy are teaming up to spread not only laughter, but awareness for autism at a fundraising event in Middle Village.

Triple Threat Comedy, one of the hottest rising brands in the NYC and New Jersey comedy scene, is joining Play4Autism at Bridies Bar & Grill, located at 63-28 Woodhaven Blvd., on Saturday, April 23, for a special night of stand-up comedy featuring some of the funniest comics around.

The event comes during National Autism Awareness Month, a nationwide campaign to draw attention to autism spectrum disorder.

“It was a no-brainer to partner with Play4Autism not only because they are helping a cause we are so passionate about, but are doing it the right way,” said Sam Mushman, president and founder of Triple Threat Comedy. “As a former college athlete, I understand the importance of staying physically fit, and giving kids from all spectrums of autism the ability to do that and connect together is an amazing thing.”

Comedians Vince Chang, Angela Cobb, Christian Galston, Jake Vevera and Sean O’Hagan will join Mushman on stage at Bridies starting at 8 p.m.

“We are extremely excited about our new partnership with Sam and Triple Threat Comedy to further spread awareness about autism and our Kidz into Action Programs and to be given the opportunity to offer the parents and our supporters a first-class evening of comedy while raising funds for our first-ever Kidz into Action Community Center here in Queens,” said Greg Vasicek, president and founder of the Play4Autism Foundation.

The fundraising event is free, but a suggested donation of $10 would be appreciated.

Vasicek created the Play4Autism Foundation to increase public awareness and acceptance of autism, while improving the quality of life and hope for children who are affected.
