Would-be robber gets the cold shoulder from a teller at an Ozone Park bank

Detectives continue to search for the failed bandit who was turned down in his bid to rob a bank in Ozone Park Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the attempted robbery occurred at 1:20 p.m. on April 27 inside the Chase bank located at 103-48 Lefferts Blvd.

According to authorities, the suspect — described as a black male wearing a black jacket — walked into the branch, approached a teller at the counter and handed over a demand note.

When the teller walked away from the location, police said, the crook bolted from the bank in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to the incident; there were no injuries.
