Man forcibly puts hand under woman’s skirt on an Astoria street

Police are looking for a man who pushed a woman against a wall and put his hand up her skirt in Astoria last month.

On June 25 at approximately 4:10 p.m. the suspect approached a 21-year-old woman behind her house at the intersection of 34th Street and 31st Avenue. As she tried to enter her home, he pushed her against a wall, put his hand up her skirt and touched her genitals over her underwear, police said.

The victim yelled out for help and the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old and 160 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap and dark-colored clothing.
