Gunman who stole cash during early morning stickup at Maspeth deli is still at large

Cops are on the lookout for a suspect who robbed a deli in Maspeth at gunpoint early Thursday morning.

According to police, the suspect entered Grand Deli, located at 66-10 Grand Ave., at approximately 12:35 a.m. on Sept. 29, and approached the 34-year-old male employee, brandished a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

When the employee refused to give in to the gunman’s demands, the individual forcibly removed approximately $150 from the register. The suspect then fled the deli westbound on Grand Avenue, law enforcement agents said.

Officers from 104th Precinct responded to the incident.

The gunman has been described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, standing between 6 feet 1 inches to 6 feet 2 inches; last seen wearing a blue hooded sweater, light blue jeans and black sneakers.
