An apparent early-morning robbery in Richmond Hill turned deadly on Wednesday when the victim was stabbed in the back by his attackers, police said.
On Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 1:57 a.m., officers from the 102nd Precinct responded to a 911 call of a robbery in front of a home on 110th Street between Atlantic and 95th avenues.
When they arrived, the officers found a 20-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his back. Paramedics rushed the man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead; his identity was released pending family notification.
Three suspects were taken into custody, with charges pending for the time being. According to police sources, the incident is now being investigated as a homicide, which remains ongoing.
