Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner. Have you figured out how you’re celebrating yet?
Cinco de Mayo marks the anniversary of the Mexican Army’s defeat of the French forces of Napoleon III at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. While still a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage that is widely celebrated in America.
There are plenty of ways you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but most of them will definitely include great food, music and margaritas. Here are a few places in Queens where you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
1. Cinco de Mayo, 42-29 Bell Blvd., Bayside
What better place could there be to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than at Cinco de Mayo? Whether you’re eating in or taking out, Cinco de Mayo on Bell Boulevard is a great place to celebrate the day. Come by and try their signature paella, Bistec a la Tampiqueña or their guacamole and nachos; you won’t be disappointed.
