The NYPD released on Tuesday morning dramatic video of a shotgun-wielding bandit wanted for robbing a man outside a home in Ridgewood last month.

Police said the armed crook — described as a man standing 5 foot 6 inches and wearing a black hooded jacket and a black ski mask — approached the 31-year-old victim at 11:38 p.m. on March 16 outside an undisclosed location in Ridgewood.

Law enforcement sources said the suspect pointed the shotgun at the man and demanded his chain. The crook was accompanied by another male, who police said did not engage the victim.

At one point, as the video shows, the bandit pointed the shotgun into the air as if to fire a warning shot, but the gun did not appear to go off. Seconds later, the perpetrator took off with the victim’s jacket — which had been on the ground — and fled the scene with the unknown accomplice.

The robbery was reported to the 104th Precinct; the victim was not injured.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
