KEW GARDENS — Police from the 102nd Precinct were looking for a man wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in the vicinity of Mayfair Road and 116th Street in Kew Gardens.
On May 21 at about 8:30 p.m., a man armed with a knife approached a two women in their mid- to late-50s and stole the purse of one. The other woman tried to help her friend when she was pushed to the ground, causing injury to her hip.
Both women were taken to Jamaica Hospital, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described by police as a black male about 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
