Police searching for man wanted in Flushing burglary

Police were searching for a man suspected of burglary in Flushing.

According to police, on Wednesday, July 5 at midnight, a man climbed through an unlocked window at the New York Internal Medicine doctor’s office, located at 17-52 Francis Lewis Blvd.

The suspect stayed inside of the doctors office for thirty minutes and stole $250 from an office drawer before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to authorities.

Police were describing the suspect as an African-American male who is approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 180 pounds, with a slim build, a short hair cut and facial hair. Police said he also has tattoos on his chest and on his left hand.

He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, glasses, a short sleeve button down shirt and pants while carrying a bookbag, police said.
