Police are looking into the death of an infant who was found unresponsive in her home in Rosedale.
At approximately 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 14, police responded to a 911 call regarding a child at 253-16 147th Ave. Upon their arrival, officers from the 105th Precinct found 3-month-old Laila Jones unconscious and unresponsive with no visible signs of trauma to the body.
EMS responded to the scene and transported Jones to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
