Police are looking for a man who struck his victim in the head with his gun and fired a shot into the ground while on the road in Maspeth.
On Nov. 5 at around 6:30 a.m., a 55-year-old white man and Neftali Ramirez, 57, were driving on the Queens Midtown Expressway westbound when they got into a verbal dispute. After they stopped in the vicinity of Queens Midtown Expressway and 58th Street, Ramirez approached the victim’s car on foot and displayed a firearm.
Law enforcement sources said Ramirez then struck the victim in the head with the barrel of the gun. According to police, the assailant allegedly told the victim, “I’m a killer!” and shot a round into the ground before fleeing the scene.
Ramirez is described as a white-Hispanic man with brown eyes, standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The 108th Precinct posted a wanted flier about the incident on its Twitter page.
