A 52-year-old man died during a house fire in St. Albans on Tuesday night, law enforcement sources said.
At 7:09 p.m. on Dec. 19, police and Fire Department personnel responded to a 911 call regarding a residential fire on the second floor of a home on 120th Road near Lucas Street.
The FDNY got the fire under control by 7:50 p.m., but in searching the home, firefighters found the man unconscious and unresponsive.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity was withheld pending family notification.
According to the FDNY, it is not known at this time what caused the fire. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
