Calling all sushi-loving ladies! Head over to Forest Hills this month for a one-of-a-kind cooking lesson that you won’t want to miss.

On Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m., Chef Meyer Wakneen will host a Great Sushi & Chinese Cookout Event at the MJO Shaar HaShamayim Synagogue, located at 112-21 72nd Ave., to teach women how to make kosher versions of Chinese and Japanese food favorites.

Wakneen, a former executive chef of the Essex House Hotel in NYC, will start the class with a short demonstration on knife skills. The class will continue with a hands-on cooking lesson where attendees will learn how to make a vegan and a fish California Roll and Chinese chicken.

Women and girls over the age of 10-years-old are invited to attend the event. Admission is free for MJO members and $10 per person for non-members.

Spots are limited for this event. To reserve your seat, call 718-263-8102.
