The Wiz — In this retelling of “The Wizard of Oz,” Dorothy (Diana Ross) is a young teacher living in Harlem who is swept away to Oz. The first movie to be filmed at Kaufman Astoria Studios after it reopened in the 1970s, “The Wiz” transformed many recognizable New York City sites into the Land of Oz. Filled with hit songs and an all-star cast, this re-imagining of the classic film has become a favorite.

Cunningham Park Forest Restoration — Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to protect forested areas in Cunningham Park. Volunteers will learn how to identify and safely remove invasive plants in order to help restore the forest and create a healthier ecosystem.

Arts Culture Fun Make Your Mark with Watercolor Classes — Ashton Agbomenou will teach three adult watercolor classes demonstrating how to use line, shape, and color to render an image. Bring an image you would like to paint during the two-hour session. Supplies will be provided, and beginners are welcome.
