General Manager of JFK Airport Michael Moran has been relieved of his duties at JFK and is reassigned to a new position at the Port Authority NYNJ.
This follows the recent resignation of the airport’s operations manager, April Gasparri, who left for a position at the Pittsburgh Airport. And last month, the President of Terminal 4, JFKIAT, Gert-Jan de Graaff, announced his resignation to take the position of head of the Brisbane Airport in Australia.
This leaves big holes of responsibility at the one of the busiest airports in the world.
The move has insiders speculating that the Moran departure may be related to a forthcoming investigative report from Ray LaHood, who was hired by the Port to look into the effects of Grayson Cyclone which caused major disruptions at JFK Airport in January.
More on this developing story as it comes.
