Police need the public’s help in finding four men wanted for robbing and assaulting a couple at an Astoria pizzeria last Sunday.
The physical altercation and robbery happened at 4 a.m. on June 3 inside of a 3 Bros Pizza at 25-89 Steinway St.
According to law enforcement sources, the four unidentified men were involved in a verbal dispute with the victims, a 38-year-old man and 39-year-old woman. The argument soon turned physical as the group began to punch and kick the male victim.
Police said that one of the males proceeded to take the woman’s cellphone; the four perpetrators then fled from the scene on foot.
Officers from the 114th Precinct responded to the incident. The male victim suffered from a concussion with pain and bruising about his head and body. EMS transported him to Mount Sinai Queens Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cops described the four suspects as black men in their 20s to 30s. Two of the individuals were last seen wearing basketball jerseys and baseball caps, the third perpetrator was last seen wearing a skull cap and striped T-shirt and the fourth assailant was last seen sporting a beard and all dark clothing.
