A man is in custody after bringing a fake grenade into Queens County Criminal Court in Kew Gardens and causing a scare.
According to police, on June 14 a man walked into the courthouse, located at 125-01 Queens Blvd., and appeared to have a grenade on his person.
Police cleared the courthouse as a result of the scare.
The man was detained by police, who found that the grenade was a novelty grenade. It is unclear at this time what the man’s intentions were with the fake grenade.
No charges have been filed against the man as of yet.
