FRESH MEADOWS — The NYPD was searching for a male suspect in connection with a robbery at a bank in Fresh Meadows last week.
According to the NYPD, on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 10:10 a.m., the suspect entered Amalgamated Bank — located at 70-23 Parsons Blvd. — and approached the bank teller, demanding money.
The teller gave the individual an undetermined amount of money and the suspect fled the location on foot westbound over Parsons Boulevard, police said.
Authorities described the suspect as a black male in his 40s, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing full black attire, including a black kufi cap, black eyeglasses, a black hooded jacket, black slacks, and black dress shoes. He was also carrying a black backpack, according to police.
