Assailant slashes man in the face following an argument on board a bus in south Queens

Cops are looking for a man who slashed his victim in the face while riding the bus in Springfield Gardens.

According to police, at 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 3, a 64-year-old man was riding the Q3 bus when he got into an argument with an unknown woman.

When the bus pulled into the vicinity of Farmers and Merrick Boulevards, authorities said, an unknown man boarded the bus and slashed the 64-year-old man in the face and head with an unknown object. The slasher and the unidentified woman then exited the bus and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 113th Precinct and EMS responded to the scene and took the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

The NYPD described the suspect a black man between the ages of 20 and 30, who was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
