Police were searching for an unidentified man who is wanted for questioning in connection with three burglaries in Flushing.
According to police, the suspect opened an unlocked gate and entered Mey Business — located at 136-31 41st Ave. — Sept. 27 around 8 p.m. and removed various retail clothing items worth an estimated value of approximately $2,000. He then fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.
The suspect returned to the location Oct. 1 at 12:20 a.m. by forcing open a locked rear door, according to authorities. Once inside, he removed approximately $1,000 from a cash register and fled the location, but did not remove any property before fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.
Within an hour, the suspect targeted League of Mobile — located at 136-31 41st Ave. — at 1:30 a.m. and forced open a locked rear door. Once inside, he stole $1,000 from a cash register and fled the scene.
Police described the suspect as Hispanic, between the ages of 20 and 30, with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a two-toned hooded jacket and light colored pants, police said.
