Two individuals were taken in custody following the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy outside of an Elmhurst school Thursday morning.

Authorities said the victim was knifed in the chest Nov. 8 just before 12 p.m. across the street from the Civic Leadership Academy, located at 45-10 94th St.

Officers from the 110th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene and paramedics rushed the teenager to Elmhurst Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police recovered a knife at the scene after the attack. Two people, including another 17-year-old boy, were taken into custody a short time later.

Police said the motive for the attack remains unknown. Law enforcement sources did not disclose whether the suspects attended the school.

The investigation was ongoing.
