Man sought for questioning in connection to a Laurelton slashing outside of a deli

Cops are looking a man who may know something about an assault that took place outside of a Laurelton corner store last month.

According to police, at 4:27 p.m. on Jan. 30, a 29-year-old man got into an argument with a unidentified man outside of 4 Star Deli & Grill, located at 218-30 Merrick Blvd.

The altercation turned physical, authorities said, when the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the victim above the right eye and below the left eye. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 105th Precinct and EMS responded to the scene. Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.

Cops described the person wanted for questioning as a black man in his 20s, standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white jacket, black sweater with a red hoody and a blue jeans.
