Unity Stage, a western Queens youth theater nonprofit, will hold a production of “Godspell” at 6 p.m. on May 18 and at 3 p.m. on May 19 in the P.S. 212 auditorium, located at 34-25 82nd St. in Jackson Heights.

Unity Stage has served the borough since 2010, producing summer programs as well as annual musicals and plays performed by children and teens. “Godspell” marks the theater company’s first middle school production.

“Godspell,” the musical adaptation of the Book of Matthew, features famous songs like “Day by Day,” “By My Side,” and “Beautiful City.” The 17 student performers will adapt the gospel narrative to the musical stage with a playful and comic approach.

Tickets cost $5 per child, $10 per senior and teen and $20 per adult. They are available at www.unitystage.org/shows.

Unity Stage’s teen company will present musical comedy “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” at 6 p.m. on June 8 and at 3 p.m. on June 9 in the same space.
