Police are looking for a man who robbed an elderly woman in Sunnyside last month.
On Wednesday, Aug. 19, around 12:20 p.m., a 76-year-old woman was walking in front of 38-30 Woodside Ave., when an unknown man approached her and asked her for directions, according to the NYPD.
The man then grabbed the woman’s necklace, ripped it off and fled in an unknown direction, police said. The woman had cuts on her neck as a result of the robbery but refused medical attention.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
Police recovered video of the suspect.
