A 70-year-old Fresh Meadows woman died Wednesday, Aug. 18, one month after she was struck by a pick-up truck just two blocks away from her home.

Police from the 111th Precinct responded to a 911 call on July 16 of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on 58th Avenue near 184th Street, and when they arrived they discovered Ning Peng lying on the roadway with severe head and body trauma, according to the NYPD.

EMS responded and transported the woman to New York-Presbyterian Queens, where she was listed in critical condition.

The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that a 2017 Ford F-150 pick-up truck, operated by a 65-year-old man, was backing up on a shared driveway at 50-04 185th St. and struck the woman with the rear bumper knocking her to the sidewalk, and then driving over her.

The motorist remained at the scene.

There have not been any arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
